Apple today released iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1, major updates to iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, which Apple launched in September. The new operating system update will bring many new features, including Apple Intelligence.
iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 are now available
iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 are now available for iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 models, and iPads with M-series or A17 Pro chips. These devices will have access to Writing Tools with Apple Intelligence features such as rewriting, correcting and summarizing text.
There will also be a much better Siri assistant. Photos, Notifications, and other Apple apps will get AI-powered features and Apple Intelligence. The update also brings refreshed Control Center options and the ability to record and transcribe phone calls. Third-party apps will now have expanded NFC access.
Apple Intelligence also launched Genmoji, which allows users to create emojis with just commands. Image Playground will allow users to design images on iPhone and iPad. Image Wand will turn the designs drawn by users into illustrations. This will make notes and documents more interesting.
With iPadOS 18.1, Apple has made the app tab bar experience more cohesive. In the latest beta, new options were added to the tab bar. The new options from the beta will remain in the stable version.
It’s important to note that Apple Intelligence features will be available for iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 models, and iPads with M-series or A17 Pro chips.
